July's coming up quickly! - 20 Jun 11
Registration for July classes, both at IWFC and at PPR, is open so don't forget to sign up! The IWFC beginner class starts on Wednesday, July 6, the IWFC intermediate saber class starts Tuesday, July 5, and the Poquoson beginner and intermediate foil classes start on Sunday, July 10. To register for IWFC classes, email coach@iwfc.net or call 238-3111. Poquoson registrations are done through Poquoson Parks and Rec.
Not sure about taking a class? How about fencing camp instead? Poquoson Parks and Rec is hosting fencing camps this summer -- five days of fun with other youth fencers to be! Camps are five days long, two hours per day, with the 8-10 year olds camp from 12:30 to 2:30 and 11-14 year olds from 3:00 to 5:00. The first camp runs July 18-22 and the second is August 15-19. All equipment is provided! Contact PPR to register.
If Poquoson and Carrollton don't fit into your schedule, how about the Newport News YMCA? They have a youth fencing class for ages 8-18! All equipment is provided and the class is open to both members and non-members.
And lastly, the end of the world is officially drawing nigh. Yes, I finally broke down and set up official Facebook pages for each club! IWFC's page is here and PFC's is here. Go! Like! Share!
