IWFC: The next beginner class starts Monday, October 3. The intermediate class is for foil and begins Tuesday, October 4. The fee for either class is $60 and equipment can be either rented or purchased. Register either via email or by calling 238-3111. Payment and equipment sizing will be taken care of as part of the first class.
Poquoson: The next beginner and intermediate classes start Sunday, October 2. Details are in the new Island Tide (fencing's on page 9). Register through Parks and Rec. All registrations must be done through PPR, I cannot register you at the first class.

Quick reminders - 7 Sep 11
Equipment orders are due tonight. If you can't bring it out to IWFC tonight, you can turn it in via email.
New classes start this week at IWFC. Epee and beginner foil classes start this week. If you missed the first session but still want to take the class, just let me know.
A new fencing class started this week at the Peninsula YMCA in Newport News. I know the Y (along with many of you) was without power for a while after Irene, plus the Y had some trouble with the registration system, so if you weren't able to sign up your young fencer-to-be, you should be able to do so now. New fencers will be accepted for another week or so, just contact the Y and you're good to go!
Poquoson's fencing classes should be announced by Poquoson Parks and Rec any minute now. Stay tuned....

Happy Almost-Labor Day! - 3 Sep 11
Happy Labor Day weekend, everyone! Because of the holiday, there is no fencing this Sunday (PFC) or Monday (IWFC). The regular schedule resumes on Tuesday. See you then!
