Looks like everything's cooperating today so Poquoson fencing is back on track!
Beginning fencers: Today's class is two hours, from 4:00 to 6:00, to give us plenty of time to get measurements for equipment and all that good stuff. After today, classes are from 5:00 to 6:00.
Intermediate fencers: All classes, including today's, are from 6:00 to 7:00. Show up a little early as you're responsible for doing your own stretching and warming up now!
Club fencers: Of course, all of this means that club's back to one hour, from 7:00 to 8:00 for the next eight sessions. And I'm hoping to bring an electric strip (and weapons) with me every other week or so - more fun!
General fencing info:
Equipment order: Since last week's class start was delayed, I'm doing an equipment order for the new class this Monday. So if you need or want New Stuff, whether for club or for upcoming tournaments, let me know no later than Monday evening. Equipment should be here by Thursday night's IWFC session.
Speaking of tournaments, there's a BIGGIE coming up in April! Virginia Beach will be host to a North American Cup event featuring some of the top-rated fencers in the nation -- including past and future Olympians! This particular NAC will also feature youth fencing, specifically events for ten-, twelve-, and fourteen-and-under fencers. It will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center April 23 - 26. Additional details are here on US Fencing's website.
And in general 'looking good'-ness, video from Richmond's River City Rumble has been posted to our YouTube page. Plus more pictures, including some new Halloween pics, have been added to IWFC's photos page.
