If you've been fencing for a bit, you probably know that the fencing year runs from August 1 to July 31. (Of course, even if you haven't been fencing for a bit, you know that now!) As such, I try to synch any big changes or administrative stuff with the new year. So without further ado, here we go:
Dues: Effective September 1, monthly dues are increasing to $20 per month for one fencer. The 'Full Time' versus 'Pay as You Go' options have been retired. All other rates are unchanged for now, although floor fees may still be revisited.
It's a small change (and frankly, they need to be tweaked a bit more but I'm holding off on that) but I know that right now, there is no such thing as a small change for some budgets. If this puts a crimp in your fencing plans, let me know and we'll see what we can work out. I have many more plans and projects than I have time for!
Liability/medical info forms: This year instead of asking for new forms, I'm asking you to review, sign, and date your existing form to confirm that the contact and medical information on it is still correct. You (or your responsible adult person) can do this at any club practice. If you'd rather do a new form from scratch or send a new form in with your fencer, print out this one (two-sided, one page please).
