This weekend is Memorial Day weekend so no fencing Sunday or Monday. Regular schedule picks up on Tuesday.
Speaking of Memorial Day, this weekend is Military History weekend at the Virginia Renaissance Faire so active and reserve service members get in free. (Admission for everyone else is just $9 and parking is free.) I've been remiss in getting word out online this year but we have three great weekends left. Come play with us at the Lake Anna Winery just west of Fredericksburg! It's a beautiful drive and a great way to spend a weekend!
And speaking of playing, a big 'welcome!' goes out to all of our new fencers. Two beginner classes just wrapped up so they're now ready to start joining us at practices to, well, practice their new skills! New fencers are encouraged to attend Poquoson's fencing practice on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 (directions) and/or IWFC's Level A (novice) practices on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 (directions). Monthly dues are $20 for one person, $5 for each additional family member, and they entitle you to practices at both locations. You've worked hard on learning how to fence, now come out and fence!
