Quick weekend notes - 13 May 11

Hey Poquoson beginner class! If you missed the last class or two, you weren't alone. I know life was more than a little crazy the last few weeks so I'm going to hold an extra class this Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 (optional, of course). Come put the finishing touches on that starting game of yours then start practicing with the club!

Also on tap for the weekend -- for the next four weekends, actually -- is the Virginia Renaissance Faire. This weekend is Shakespeare and Fantasy weekend so in addition to the usual excellent fun, you just might meet the Bard of Avon himself! VARF is run by an educational not-for-profit so you'll get to see a goodly cross-section of Elizabethan life in addition to magic, music, archery, dancing, militia drills, and food. Upcoming weekends are Pirate Invasion on May 21-22, Deaf Awareness Day on May 22, Military History Weekend on May 28-29 (active and reserve service members get in free!), and Celtic Weekend on June 4-5. Admission is $9, ages 5 and under are free. If you have any questions about the faire, visit varf.org or ask me! I saw a couple of you there last weekend and hope to see more as we go along!
